Whether a hurricane is forming out in the Atlantic or not, you know that hurricanes are sure to arrive. NOAA has predicted a “near normal” hurricane season this year with a 70 percent chance of 9-14 named storms. Of those tropical storms, 4-7 may grow into hurricanes with the possibility of at least one being a category 3 or above system. Hurricanes are a fact of life for those living along the Atlantic and Gulf Coast. Hurricanes are coming; are you prepared?

Right now is the perfect time to prepare – long before the next monster strikes. By getting ready in advance, you won’t have to scramble nor will you need to compete with other residents for scarce supplies. Time is on your side and supplies are readily available.

You will need to focus on two major areas: protecting your home and your family. You will also need to consider surviving the wrath of the storm as well as its aftermath. Where will you seek shelter and what will you do after the hurricane roars through the region, isolating you for several days without power or water?

Protecting Your Home

Hurricanes with their strong winds, torrential rains, storm surges, and tornados cause massive amounts of property damage each year. Roofs are blown off, Replacement Windows Nebraska shattered, and homes are flooded. Securing your home’s weak spots is one of the best preventative steps that you can take to protect it from the fury of a hurricane. Among the retrofit options recommended are:

Hurricane straps – These straps strengthen the roof-to-wall connection. This can be a do-it-yourself job. In addition, a qualified roofer denver can do the job for you.

Roof retrofitting – If you have a gabled roof, invisalign cost are available that secure the gable truss to the wall. For those with shingled roofs, shingles can be reinforced by applying additional adhesive. In addition, applying wood adhesive to the roof deck from the attic helps to reduce the roof’s uplift resistance. Seek the assistance of a roofer denver.

Storm shutters – Invest in impact resistant shutters for all Replacement Windows Nebraska and glass doors and make sure that the fasteners that will hold them in place are up to the job.

Door bolts – Inspect your doors. Can they withstand high winds? Install head and floor bolts on any inactive double doors and make sure that all exterior doors have dead bolt locks containing one inch (or more) bolts and three hinges.

Garage door invisalign cost – Double garage doors often fail in a hurricane. Garage door retrofit kits are available; however, because of spring adjustment issues, this job is best left to professionals.

In addition to shoring up your home’s most vulnerable components, consider its belongings. If you live in an area where storm surges are likely, consider moving valuables upstairs where they’re less likely to be flooded.

Protecting Your Family

All families need a plan. Start by asking yourself questions such as: Where will you stay if evacuated? Which rooms are the safest if you stay? Do you have flood insurance? Do you have a hurricane deductible?

Formulate a plan and share it with your family. Designate a place to meet should you later become separated, plan your escape routes, and create a list of emergency phone numbers. Make sure that everyone understands the plan.

Because you’ll be without services such as power and water for many days, put together a disaster kit and load it with non-perishable food, water, first aid supplies, flashlights, a radio, batteries, a mechanical can opener, toiletries, cash, and other essentials. You should have enough food and water for you, your family members, and your pets to last you from three to seven days.

Preparing now makes taking action later much easier. Your house will be strong, y

By now {you’ve likely heard the term |I hope you’ve heard the phrase}”attraction marketing” . {But do you have a good description of what it is.|However, how good an understanding of it’s importance so you have?}

{It was not entirely foreign to me|I wasn’t completely unaware of the concept}, but {prior to|before} {my education on|learning|fully realizing} {what it really is|how|why} to market {this way|in this manner}, I {had been|was} on the {other side|receiving end}…

{Companies|Corporations} have {done this|used attraction marketing} for {years|decades}… {maybe you’ve seen some of them?|and it’s likely you’ve recognised some of them.}

Home Depot {does this type of marketing|uses attraction marketing very effectively}… They {have|offer|provide} {free|no-cost} {classes|seminars} at their {stores|retail locations} {on things like|on topics such as} {decorating|interior design}, {painting|faux painting}, {building patios|construction} and so on for {do-it-yourself people|customers who want to do it themslves}… {they have books for purchase |you can buy books}that {teach|show you} how to {build|frame}, {plumb|install plumbing}, {wire|run electrical wire}…

{So what does this do|What’s the point of all this}? {It creates customer loyalty|It positions Home Depot as a place full of people that can help}. {When the customer is looking at their next project|The next time a customer is considering a new project}, they {think of the classes|remember the free instruction}, or {look in the book|open their Home Depot book} to {find out|see} what materials and tools they {need|require for the job}…

{And where do you think the go shopping at|And who do they think of first for getting their supplies}? Home Depot?

Exactly!

This is what attraction marketing does.

It places you as an expert in the field, such that when someone is looking for a particular item or service, they will come to you!

In network marketing, this is a powerful piece of leverage! You position yourself so that people who want to have a successful network marketing business seek you over anyone else, thus putting already committed network marketers into your business.

They want to be there, and you do not have to sell them anything. It does not matter what your company or product is, because you are what they are buying for your value as a leader… you’ve attracted them to you by showing that you have value – can teach them how to lead and build a profitable networking business.

“Why”, you might ask?

There are many answers to this, but we’ll stick to a couple of the big ones…

If you sell a rep on your opportunity and “close” them to join your organization, each and every month you will have to “sell” them again to be active. You effectively become their MLM babysitter.

Not a great and productive organization in the making.

What about if your MLM biz has corporate issues and changes the compensation plan such that your commissions drop, and you want to move on… Or your product loses its market share… Or if you find a new opportunity… Or for some reason your company decides you’ve done something worthy of canning you and taking all your hard earned commissions…

If you are self branded – an attraction to work with – don’t you think that people that have worked with you in the past are likely to move with you to a new opportunity?

Way more likely! So you build a new organization in a new company way faster!

Hmmmm… How does one go about engaging in attraction marketing?

In as few words as necessary…

Learn to lead. And yearn to READ!

You have to become knowledgeable of your industry! Read books from people who have what you want (millionaire authors are a great resource), marketing geniuses, MLM masterminds… get CD sets and listen to them in the car during your commute… interview successful people, get to know people who you want to emulate… it’s a long list!

When you have value, you can share that value with others. You are giving of yourself freely to help others, and because of this they want what you have!

There is no magic bullet that will make you a leader and attractive to people. You earn that with hard work and dedication.

You have to devote time to personal growth. Limit the TV (unless you’re watching a DVD of someone who is providing education!). Commit yourself to becoming like those who you have identified as successful.
